The Glitch is Fixed!

As many of you may be aware, I'm relatively new to Blogging.

Having been on the cyber-scene for a few months now, I can say that there is definitely a learning curve.

As such, there was a small problem that has prevented some of you from posting comments to this Blog, as I discovered when one reader sent me an Email to bring this to my attention.

September Successes!

It's been a year of frantic pace, false starts, and a few successes along the way. To keep myself motivated, I'm penning these "u-go-girl" reminders.

• Published pieces in new markets--More Magazine, Substitute Teachers Magazine, and Educated Quest.com.


• Celebrated four years as a relationship columnist for a popular dating website.


• Created Blogs and creative content for various clients.


• Gained (1) new follower to this Blog.


• Submitted essay to Chicken Soup anthology.


• Entered two creative writing contests--1 political haiku and 1 essay on life lesson learned.


• Persevered through rejection and overcame obstacles.

Are Anthologies Still Popular (post Chicken Soup)?

I love the written word, and telling a story. I believe that words chosen and presented correctly have healing and restorative powers.

Wouldn't you agree?

Which is why I've been a big fan of anthologies over the last few years. I've also been published in several by Simon and Schuster, and other publishers.

As such, I'm thinking about coordinating and editing my own (maybe for women and men).

So here's the $64,000 question...

Do you think that anthologies are still popular today?

Little Victories and Affirmations...

I received a check the other day for royalties on one of my poetry books published with Publish America. Though it was a small one, it was good to get it anyway.

Despite the negative press associated with P.A., my experience thus far with them has been really cool.

It helped to make my day. And I treated myself to a meal with it.:-)
