Announcements--Thursday's This and That...

Happy Thursday,
Pen and Prosper Peeps,
I hope you guys are having a great week, (writing and otherwise), and finding ways to beat this heat!

I'd like to start out by welcoming all my new "followers" for June and July.
I'm pleased as punch to have you here. :-)
I believe that you'll find useful information and a welcoming community.
Of course you're not obligated to do so, but I'd love to hear from you through a comment or two!

I'm happy to report that it's been a good writing week. Proud to announce that I just sold two pieces on writing to Writers Weekly and Writing World, and I'm pretty geeked about it! Trust me, it was no easy task. :-)
However, the editors are really cool to work with.
No publication date as of yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Congrats go out to Pen and Prosper followers and friends---Janette Dolores and Yasmin Morais for placing among the 50 finalists in the Good Earth Tea Tag Quote Contest.
Much luck to you ladies. I'm hoping you'll land in the top 25 winners.

Any good news or comments on your end?

  1. Hey, Jen. Congrats on the sales. I'll look for your articles. I follow both pubs. I voted at Good Earth where there are some very cool quotes. Have had some good sales myself. Significant Living bought an article and Chamberton Publishing took a poem and three short stories for their anthologies. It's been a good month indeed! Have a story at Knowonder if anyone wants to vote for it. I Want My Own Monster - find it at www.knowonder.com Thanks!

Thanks. You are really rocking, girl! Much continued success. I'll be voting for you shortly.

  3. Thank you very much for the shout out, Jen! I appreciate it. Having a giveaway as we speak, with a bunch more to come through the fall. Your friends are more than welcome to stop by!

Sorry about your technical difficulties. Hoping things are back to normal very soon. Thanks for all the news and notes and for keeping us up to date on things.

    Happy weekend,

  4. Jennifer,
Congratulations on your recent acceptances, and thanks for all you do.

  5. Normally I don't learn article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to check out and do it! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, quite nice post.

Thanks, dearest! Always a pleasure to hear from you. :-)

  7. Jennifer,
Great to hear that you sold those pieces, also the Ghostwriting that you wrote about is something that I find interesting. I was just wondering if anybody here had any experience with directly selling - ready made - Articles online as Private Label Rights Articles?

Like for example as they do on sites like Easyplr or Plrbuyer etc. etc. (also see - Great Links - at my Home Business Blog) Because I do think that there might be a market out there for things like Articles, Reports, (Writing?) eCourses or maybe even things like Autoresponder messages etc. etc.

  8. HP,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to check out these sites as time permits. Interesting info...

    1. Yes, I do believe that it has some interesting similarity with the sales process of selling (Royalty Free) Stock Photo's on Micro Stock Sites.

  9. Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations on your writing successes, and for the shout out re the Good Earth contest. I just got back from my family reunion in beautiful Savannah and am just getting caught up with news about being a finalist. I wish Janette good luck in the competition too, and thanks for the support from you and my fellow followers on Pen and Prosper.

      Hey Yasmin,

Good to see you back on the block! ;-) Hope you had a great reunion. Thanks for adding to the mix here.
