6 Bodacious Bloggers* A Black History Month Feature

"SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND."

February marks Black History Month. A time to honor the historical contributions and traditions of people of color.
BHM evolved from “Negro History Week,” initiated by noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Every U.S. president, (since 1976) has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.

Being Black is not a pre-requisite for celebrating Black History.
Black History is deeply entrenched in American History, and thus has significance that surpasses color or geographical boundaries.

To honor this month and expand your literary horizons, today's post features 6 Black Bloggers you'll want to add to your blog roll this year.

'Cause that's how I roll. ;-)
If time permits, I hope you'll visit their sites, sample what they have to offer and be enriched in the process.

  6. Jennifer. I feel extremely humbled and privileged to be among the six Black Bloggers as we commemorate the Black History month. I have been running this personal Blog since October 2016 and this inclusion validates my time and efforts. To help you and the readers understand why I feel privileged, I would like you to know that I am a Blogger in Uganda , East Africa. Thanks to the Digital technology which has made it possible. As for the written word, I am not ashamed to admit that I am addicted to it for life. I am planning to link up with the other 5 'bodacious' Bloggers of 2019. Thank you Jennifer for creating this opportunity. The world especially here in Africa, is still patriarchal so it requires women to lend a helping hand to each other. Jane Nannono

    2. Thank you Jennifer. As I have said before; in our patriarchal societies, each one of us should take the responsibility to go beyond herself. This is the only way we can make a difference and leave the world better than we found it. Those with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experiences do a lot of good when they share it with others gladly. Thank you. Jane Nannono
