Introducing the 3R'S Series

Welcome back, readers!
It's a pleasure to have you re-join me, as I return from my break early (surprise), renewed and raring to go. (At least for now).

I hope that you have been enjoying a great summer, filled with fun and interesting writing projects.
Speaking of writing projects...
I'm happy to share with you today that my work is being featured in a book published by Adams Media entitled: "The Ultimate Freelancer's Guidebook."
Along with six other freelancers, written by Yuwanda Black. And I am stoked!
I am recognized as a "branding expert."

Now on to today's post...

Just like the 3Rs are essential to a well-rounded education in academia (reading, writing, ‘rithmetic), this new monthly feature underscores my overall mission here at Pen & Prosper since its inception: to help you learn more, earn more, and provide necessary tools for your success.

In keeping…

HERE’S WHAT THE 3RS SERIES WILL INCLUDE

RESOURCES  (Products for writers, cool contests, publishing opportunities)

RECOMMENDATIONS (Interesting reads around the Web, useful online courses and creative services, E-books, or delectable chocolate discoveries to add to your stash)

REVIEWS (TV programs that offer beneficial viewing for writers, music to create by, online promotional offers I’ve tried, books on cooking, etc.)

So, if you’re on board, let’s explore!

REVIEW
LABELLE CUISINE

If you’ve been a follower of this blog for a reasonable length of time, you know that there are a few things of which I’m extremely passionate: writing, reading, music, helping others, and cooking and the culinary arts. In fact, in previous posts here, I have shown the many parallels between creativity in the kitchen and creativity at the keyboard.

Which is why I was so excited, (a few weeks ago) to score a “hot” cookbook at a local yard sale. Some of you may be familiar with the popular singer Patti Labelle, who has won numerous awards, and has been featured in countless movie roles, books, celebrity projects, etc.

But did you know that this songstress is also a “diva” who has authored several Soul cookbooks as well? (Now that’s something that truly makes my heart sing)!

What I love about this book (in addition to the great price I paid of only $1.00), is that the recipes are diverse and simple to follow. You’ll find everything from homemade biscuits, to bread pudding, to party menu meals. And to make things “sweeter” the book includes personal photos, stories from her worldly travels, and warm family memories.
Whether your goal is to impress guests, or simply become a better cook, you’ll want to add this book to your “must-read“ list before the big holidays arrive.

    2. P.S. Youre right; my mind is always "zooming." I wish that the mental "exercise" could count towards burning calories. :-)
